This Privacy Policy applies only to the use of CYBA’s econtract pages and the information that users input and/or collect from it. This policy is not applicable to any charter contract information collected or distributed offline, nor via any other channels than CYBA’s econtract pages on this website.

Information we collect and why

By using CYBA’s econtract service pages you may divulge personal information about yourself and your charter party’s names, address, email address, the contents of any messages and/or addendums you may include, and any other information you may choose to provide.

Such information is collected temporarily and will not be used in any personally identifiable way beyond the econtract itself, whose data is controlled solely by the signatories to it.

Cookies

The CYBA econtract service uses cookies to store information while the contract is in progress.

Please be aware that if you disable cookies when using our web site you will not be able to use the CYBA econtract which depends on their use.

Log Files

CYBA follows a procedure to log econtract users’ visits to provide analytics and to comply with our deletion protocol outlined below. The information collected by log files include, inter alia, internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, cookies data, and other similar technologies recording date and time.

CYBA yacht charter econtract data and deletion

All data you input will only be held as long as necessary for brokers to implement, administer and manage the econtract from draft to completion. Thirty (30) days after contract completion all associated data will be removed automatically from its system.

We may allow other people and organisations to use Personal Data we hold about your econtracts in the following, narrow, circumstances:

If, within 30 days of an econtract being signed, we have been legitimately asked to provide information for legal or regulatory purposes or as part of legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings. Beyond this timeframe no contractual data will exist in our system.

We will not disclose your Personal Data to any third party except in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Charter Party participant data

If you give us Personal Data on behalf of someone else, for instance a signatory to an econtract, you confirm that you have provided them with the information set out in this Privacy Policy and that they have not objected to such use of their Personal Data.

Security of your Personal Data and password.

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.

You will use a password in order to access a CYBA econtract. It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to log off when you finish.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you, or allow you to access an econtract if we feel there is any doubt as to who is using your password.

Third Party Privacy Policies

CYBA’s econtract Privacy Policy does not apply to other websites, nor is its system linked to any. We exclude all liability for any loss that you may incur when using third party websites.
